Product Details
Kooltherm K10 G2W is the white-faced version of the K10 soffit board. The phenolic core and the declared R-values are identical to K10 G2 , what changes is the lower facing, which is white rather than reflective foil.
That matters wherever the soffit stays visible. A white face lifts perceived light levels in a carpark or undercroft and reads as a finished ceiling rather than exposed insulation, without the cost of a separate lining.

Selecting the Right K10 G2W
Choose your thickness
25 mm to 90 mm, giving declared R-values from R1.10 to R4.10 , the same table as K10 G2, because it is the same core.
Decide whether the soffit is on show
- If the soffit is concealed, standard K10 G2 costs less
- If it is visible and needs to read as finished, K10 G2W saves you a separate lining
- If it needs Group 1 or impact resistance, K10 PLUS is the correct board
Plan your joint setting-out
On an exposed white soffit the joint lines are part of the finish. Set out so joints fall evenly rather than leaving a narrow closing board at one end.

Installation Notes That Prevent Callbacks
Not sure whether the white face is worth it on your project? Ask our team before you order.
- Fixing follows the same method as K10 G2 , mechanically fixed with fixings suited to the substrate and board thickness.
- Keep the faces clean while handling. Marks on a white facing stay visible for the life of the ceiling.
- Set out joints evenly and butt boards tight; on an exposed soffit an inconsistent joint line is the first thing anyone notices.
- Confirm fixing centres against the current Kingspan installation guide.
How is G2W different from K10 G2?
Only the facing. Same phenolic core, same thermal conductivity, same declared R-values. G2W has a white lower face instead of reflective foil.
Does the white face need painting?
No. It is the finished surface, which is the point of specifying it over the standard board.
Can I mix G2 and G2W on one project?
Yes, and it is common , G2W where the soffit is visible, G2 where it is not. The thermal performance is identical, so the calculation does not change.
