Overview
Class 4 vapour permeable, and classified as an air barrier.
VapourFlex® CW is a flexible and lightweight wall wrap that is highly vapour permeable and yet is also highly resistant to water transfer, and assists in reducing air infiltration. Manufactured with two layers of resilient non-woven fabric on each side and a highly permeable membrane in the centre, VapourFlex® CW is perfectly suited for both commercial and residential buildings for a second layer of protection against moisture, wind and dust while minimising condensation risk.
CW does everything VPM does and adds an air barrier classification. That is the difference worth paying for on a commercial job or any build chasing an airtight envelope , reducing air infiltration is measurable, and it is what separates the two VapourFlex products.

- Up to 90 days UV resistance and extremely durable.
Applications
VapourFlex® CW is designed for use in walls and gable applications in Australian Climate Zones 2-8, and particularly where a vapour permeable membrane is required. VapourFlex® CW is suitable behind all wall types and systems. These include all lightweight clad walls, such as fibre cement, commercial cladding, weather board and timber, where manufacturers may require the use of vapour permeable membranes, along with brick veneer walls. VapourFlex® CW also protects the building frame and internals from the elements prior to the external cladding being installed, allowing internal works to commence earlier.

NCC compliance
- VapourFlex® CW complies with the National Construction Code (NCC) for pliable building membranes and sarking type materials
- and satisfies the following requirements:
- Complies with AS 4200.1 for pliable building membranes, and therefore meets the requirements of NCC 2022 Volume 1 F8D3
- Condensation Management and NCC 2022 Volume 2 ABCB Housing provisions 10.8.1.
- Non-Combustible Sarking-Type Material Exemption:
- VapourFlex® CW has a Flammability Index ≤5 and does not exceed 1 mm in thickness, and therefore may be used in accordance with
- the non-combustible sarking-type material exemption stated in NCC 2022 Volume 1 C2D10 (6)(f ) and NCC 2022 Volume 2 H3D2 (1)(f ).
