Product Details

While Traditional Compressed Fibre Cement (CFC) flooring is dense and a time-consuming installation, Secura™ exterior flooring sheets are lighter with tongue and groove joins. Pre-drilling and screwing is not required as they can be gun nailed, and underside mesh reinforcement provides extra strength and impact resistance. Sealed on all sides with an advanced polymer coating that helps adhesion and guards against moisture-related problems. Secura is great for tiled balconies and verandahs, providing extra peace of mind over particle board and plywood.

Best for Secura Exterior Flooring

  • Tiled balcony and veranda floor substrates
  • Exterior projects needing a moisture-sealed sheet during construction scheduling changes
  • Replacing water-sensitive sheet flooring in exposed locations
  • Builds where a tongue-and-groove edge helps create a tighter, more stable platform
  • Low-maintenance fibre cement flooring solutions for residential applications
  • Projects that benefit from sheet sizes matched to common joist spacing

Selecting the best type

Choose thickness by framing design

  • Choose the thinner option when the project is designed around tighter joist spacing and lower span requirements.
  • Choose the thicker option when the project is designed around wider joist spacing and higher stiffness needs.
  • Always match the sheet selection to the structural design and manufacturer guidance.

Choose sheet length to reduce joins

• Select the sheet length closest to the run of the floor area to reduce end joints and cutting waste.

FAQ

What is Secura Exterior Flooring used for?

It’s commonly specified as a structural fibre cement substrate for tiled balcony and veranda floors where moisture tolerance and dimensional stability are important.

Which thickness should I choose?

Select thickness based on the project’s joist spacing and structural requirements. If you’re unsure, share your design details and we’ll help you select the correct option.

Can it handle short-term weather exposure during construction?

The Secura flooring range is positioned to tolerate limited exposure during construction, but finishing timelines and exposure limits depend on the specific application—confirm in current technical documentation.

Is this suitable under tiles?

Yes—these sheets are used as a substrate for tile finishes in exterior floor applications when installed and finished to the relevant standards.
