This means faster installation, tighter dimensional tolerances, and a more consistent finish than traditional render. It does not require the multi-coat render process or the same cure time. The result is visually similar to a painted render finish, but it's a cladding product fixed to framing or a substrate, not a coating applied over masonry or base sheet.

What's the difference between Fine Texture Cladding and Hardie™ Tex Base Sheet?

These products serve different purposes. Hardie™ Tex Base Sheet is a substrate board designed to be covered with a fibre cement render system — it's the 'blue board' that goes on first, with render applied over the top. Fine Texture Cladding, on the other hand, is the finished surface — it's painted directly after installation with no render layer over it.
