Sound Blanket, for lifting the acoustic rating of a stud wall.
FibreFlex Sound Blanket (FSB) is an acoustic insulation product made from 100% polyester, designed to increase the acoustic performance of wall and ceiling systems. It is supplied in rolls.
The numbers below are the ones that matter on a commercial job: each FSB grade is quoted with the Rw it achieves in a 64 mm steel stud wall lined with 13 mm plasterboard, which is the system most Perth partitions are built from. That makes it straightforward to pick the grade that meets the rating on the drawings.
