Product Handling
Transportation and manual handling: Refer to the Gypsum Board Manufacturers of Australia (GBMA) website for recommended OH&S practices.
Storage: Protect plasterboard and cornice from weather and moisture. Avoid products sagging by storing horizontally, supported on a level platform or full-width support members spaced at max. 600mm centres.

How Trio compares with the rest of the Gyprock cornice range
Cornice choice comes down to two things: how wide a line you want where the wall meets the ceiling, and how much shadow the profile throws. Trio is a 75 mm three-step profile , wider and more assertive than Duo, and with far more shadow than a plain cove of the same width. Every Gyprock cornice we stock in Perth comes in 4800 mm lengths except Cove, which also comes shorter.

Working out how much you need
Cornice is sold by the length, so measure the perimeter of each room, divide by 4.8 m and round up per room rather than across the whole house , offcuts from one room rarely make a usable run in the next. Allow an extra length per room for mitres and breakages; on a typical 4 m x 4 m bedroom that is four lengths rather than the 3.3 the arithmetic gives you.
Matching Trio to the rest of the room
Trio's stepped geometry reads as deliberate, so it wants to be echoed elsewhere , in architraves, skirtings and even door hardware. Where you want the same detailing language but a lighter touch in secondary rooms, Gyprock Duo is the matching two-step profile. If you would rather the junction disappear altogether, Cove cornice is the plain option.
